|
|
I have a TT One V2 Europe and have the latest TT home installed. I have just returned from florida and want to back up my sd card for the USA map. I also want to back up my Europe map. If i do them one after the other am i backing up both or am I just deleting one that I want. On the old TT home you could quite clearly see your back up info and dates saved but I can't see what I have saved on the new version. Any help would be appreciated in simple lingo please.
Thanks

Hi Andrew,
If it were me I'd create a separate folder for each map/SD card on my PC and copy the contents to each folder. That way I know what I've done and haven't left it up to HOME.
It looks modern and seems to run smoothly but I'd like to see what was going on behind the scenes personally. |

I wouldn't trust TomTom HOME to do any backups, I have seen several threads where people tried to install a HOME backup, to find it doesn't work, you are better off backing up using windows explorer. If your not sure how to do it, have a look HERE , number 1. _________________ Audi A3 Sline sat nav |

He must make sure to go in folder options and unhide all files and extensions, otherwise in the manual backup he might miss a few key systems files that are hidden.!!! |

Andrew
The reason people aren't answering that question directly is because a lot of us would not trust Home to do the backups. Feel free to give it a go and see but I'd recommend you back up both cards using Windows Explorer before trying anything else out. _________________ Gerry
