I have bought this Sat Nav from Ebay. I am a complete computer novice, I have found out how to get speed cam updates. I now wish to get a UK map update as a screen has come up saying it needs updating. I would like to try & get UK & European mapping as I only had UK mapping when I bought the Sat Nav, the Medion website have not been helpful, sent a coupe of emails asking for support, but heard nothing. Does anyone have any adviceas to GPS mapping software or downloading the info for the Medion PNA 250? Can the device be converted to use Tom Tom software, where the product support is better? |

The reason for the update message is because when you buy a GPS unit you only buy the licence to use the software for a year then you need to update it as you do not have the licence to continue to use the software according to what i have read. anyway
This unit should have come with a cd with V5.1 navigon software using TeleAtlas maps (street level UK & major routes Europe included), |

I've got a 205 (which'll be 1 at Easter...might have a party...don't know yet).
I presume that this will do the same...what a bummer!!
Anyone got a clue as to :
how much an update costs?
Will the mapping still function?
Will a plastic plod come a knocking...if I don't comply?? ![Twisted Evil](modules/Forums/images/smiles/icon_twisted.gif) |

Utter rubbish of course. It's a nag reminder that an updated map is advisable. Nothing more. _________________ Darren Griffin |
