I wonder if anyone can answer this?

I subscribe to the traffic alerts on my TT Go 510 and apart from when I first got it and went back and forward on the A500 near Stoke for 2 hours after pressing avoid to avoid the traffic congestion on the M6 constantly rather than just let it replan I now allow the TT to redirect me in whichever way it sees fit.

However, I was wondering if the traffic alerts only give information on the motorways, because a few times now, I've been taken off the motorway only to end up on a very busy A road or into a town where it's really busy and, the heavy traffic there is a regular occurrance. In which case, I'd almost be better off staying in the jam on the motorway.

For example, I went to Sheffield the other week from the North and the route took me through Glossop onto the Snake Pass into Sheffield. The road from Hyde to Glossop and then onto the Snake Pass was an absolute nightmare, and yet TT Traffic didn't inform me of this long tailback. It was simply the amount of traffic, there had been no accidents or anything, and it got me thinking whether actually, the traffic announcements on TT only gave incidents on motorways.

Does anyone know the definitive answer as to what it does include?
