Sorting out my routes for my next tour. Have made 12 routes covering 2500 miles in Spain and France.
When sending the 11th route to my Quest I get a message on my Quest saying - 'Route Waypoint Memory Full'. I press ok (on the Quest) then get the message 'Route Truncated'.
I've deleted all previous routes off the Quest etc and after talking to Garmin did a master re-set. But, when I get to loading the 11th route i'm getting the same as above.
I've checked my routes and have a total (over 12 routes) of just 27 waypoints, with a total of probably about 100 'via' points.
When it comes to actually sending the route to the Quest i've tried unchecking the 'waypoint' box but it' still happens.
This is also happening with my sons Quest 1.
Using City Navigator V9 and have never had a problem before. Any ideas guys?? |

Please post the solution for the benefit of others who may have similar problems. And who is Ensigna? |

This is him. Elsinga sorry not Ensinga. http://www.elsinga.net/questfaq
I e-mailed him the above post and he got back to me straight away but unfortunately i've cleaned up my mail box so deleted his reply.
Basically the quest uses up Route Waypoint space for your routes. So, if you're doing routes with lots of twists and turns ie for scenic routes like I am then this space is used up quickly and 12 routes over 2500 miles is a lot of turns!! Had they been all motorways etc then it would have coped easily.
What I need to do (and have done) is just put in 10 routes for now and whilst on tour delete a couple of routes and then re-input the last two.
I've still managed to input about 50 hotels that I may use whilst on tour. |
