Quick question, got a TT910 but it does not seem to hold its charge, its been on charge now for nearly 3 hours but when you switch it on the low battery warning is still flashing, any ideas?
It works fine when plugged into power, once you unplug the unit switches off after about 15-20 mins |

Does the green indicator, on the top left, come on?
If yes, then it could be a faulty battery or the associated electronics. _________________ Richard

How old is it? Batteries have a finite life-span and once they have been charged/discharged more than this life-span they exhibit such behaviour.
You can get it repaired and a new battery fitted if you wish? _________________ Darren Griffin |

You need to check that it is actually charging, just because the green light is on does not mean it is charging. I have had this problem and have had to jam the unit onto the holder because the clamps on the unit have worn away ( waiting for 920 ) |

Its now working, i had to send it off to Tomtom CRC in glenrothes to be repaired, they replaced the mainboard and now its charging fine. I was very impressed with the service sent the tomtom to them on monday 19th Nov and got it back this morning.
Now i just need to find some way of playing video on it, i have tried Media Studio for Tomtom but that tells me i have to downgrade my firmware version to 6.1 which i am not to keen on doing (currently on 7.16), is there any other software i could try?
Thanks |
