Safety Camera Update never completes...

After updating to TomTom Home 2, map version 675 and application version 7.1 I keep getting prompted to update "Safety Cameras PT TomTom" despite the POI not being present on my unit, and using PGPSW speed cam POIs instead.

When I bought the machine early this year it did have a free TomTom Speed Camera promotion bundled with it but that expired in April and afaik I have removed all traces of the TomTom POIs.

Only other modification is the addition of the TomTom Sylvia voice, I've tried reinstalling TomTom Home 2 again and deleting the previous TomTom Home backup.

Any ideas?

i should add that before the newest version of TomTom Home 2 was installed i got the same prompt but it would fail downloading with error 404 file not found, with an option to report to TomTom, which i did with no reply

now, in the newest version, it just sits at downloading, please wait... forever!

When HOME tells me there is an update for cameras, I just download them but don't install them to my device.

HOME is just telling you that your files are out of date, but it's up to you if you install them or not.

I hope I understood your post correctly.

that's the point, i can't download it even if i wanted to; it seems to be stuck. i've tried manually installing the tomtom speed camera pois (of which the PT is one) and updating them but only the PT one gets prompted for updating, and it still doesn't update! same as if i remove them all again, this damn PT poi keeps prompting to be installed or updated.

the other updates (mapshare, gpsquickfix etc) download and install without trouble

it's not too much of a hardship deselecting the PT poi update every time tomtom home starts but i'm curious to find out why.
