|

Hi,
I wasn't sure whether this was a POI question or a TMC issue...
I have recently purchased a Navman F20 and the T1 traffic module. I am having some trouble getting a signal on the traffic module and I would like to check my service area for Classic FM.
Can anyone point me in the right direction for a POI file containing the Classic FM transmitter locations? I found reference to it in this forum but no direct link.
Thanks a lot |

If you want to make your own POI, there's a list of the transmitters HERE along with a link to a (pretty blurry) map. |

I have created a PoI file of this type, it is in ov2 format as used on the TomTom devices, I will convert it to the file type you need and e-mail it once I get home (I don't have the file on my phone).
I was going to upload it to the site, but as there is a separate file for the Traffic Master system as well (Garmin) I am not too sure how the ownloads page would handle this (mental note to ask Oldie/ Oldboy later) - Mike |

Thanks guys.
Mikealder, I'll send you an email. If you would be kind enough to send this as a CSV (for Navman), that would be great.
Much appreciated. |

Send me an e-mail to the address the button below this post and will reply with the file later today, I am not too sure how the Navman will handle the extra data in the POI file but it is easy to remove if need be, the extra info contains the frequency and power level of the transmitter on a line by line basis -Mike |

I have emailed you. I will see how the Navman deals with the extra data. If the springs pop out, I'll edit the CSV file...
Thanks again Mike |

Mike,
Please submit the file so that we can release the OV2 and CSV versions Currently we leave it to the user to reformat the CSV file for other systems.

Mike,
Yes please split the file. I will load it in the "Special Interest" category and a new "TMC Transmitter" subcategory. Is that OK?
