I recently purchased a c220 in the USA with US maps and on returning to the UK purchased the Western Europe maps from TeleAtlas.

I did not have any camera database on the c220, and here is where the sorry saga begins so bear with me!

1. I registered the c220 on the mio club site and downloaded and installed the miosync program for the camera updater, and activated my camera account.
2. I connected my mio via usb and filled in the info in miosync and tried to load the camera database. It failed with ' device not connected'
3. It was at this point I realised that I had mistyped a nubmer in the device serial number when registering the mio.
4. I registered another device with the correct serial number and now have two c220 devices registered.
5. I adjusted the entry in the miosync to the new correct serial number but still get the failure when trying to sync.

6. So here is the first set of questions:
- how do I get rid of the registration of the incorrect serial number?
- how would anyone with 2 devices ever get mio synch to recognise
them as you only seem to be able to work on the first registered
device?
- is there a link between the device that is registered and the
actual serial number in the devicce or is the 'device not connected'
error something completely different?
-when I connect the mio over USB, explorer recognises the device as
a mobile device, but i cannot 'explore it'

7. I decided to look at using the PGW camera database and read up
about The Mio Transfer program which is supposedly provided on the
cd. Unfortunately the dvd I got with the device in the US does not
have this program on it, so the second set of questions are:

- where can i get a copy of the transfer program?
- in order to use the hacked transfer program to transfer the PGW
database, I need a file mtu.dll which is supposed to be in the mio
map updater folder. Where is this as it isn't on the dvd I have?

Sorry for the ramble but it is causing so much frustration !!!!

Any help/clues would be much appreciated!

Mio transfer program download - here

Mio transfer program instructions - here

Unfortunately, I don't have enough knowledge to assist with your other questions

Another user (M8TJT) may be able to help with the .dll file:

I have already emailed both of the above with Transfer Hacked and the more difficult to find mut.dll

It might be worth you getting in touch with M8TJT and requesting a copy of this file

I hope this helps
