OK, I've had my TT Go 720 for 2 months. I WAS impressed, but not anymore.

I've had the problems with buzzing on the handsfree side - swapped 3 times - same with all three.

I know from previous models of TomTom that some have had problems, but reviews indicated that the 720 was a big improvement.

When I try to download updates, TT Home constantly crashes (latest version). It NEVER did that until this week.

I have a MAJOR roundabout near me which has been built 3 years and is not on the map, yet a major motorway link opened last week is???

I am now taking it back and demanding a refund on the grounds that it is not fit for purpose, or as advertised.

So you're saying that
1. there is nothing wrong with this one except a single mapping error (nothing to do with TomTom and will be the same on any brand that uses TeleAtlas Maps), and
2. that the Mapshare servers are temporarily down, and we've been discussing that on the forums since last friday (5th Oct). TT have acknowledged there is a problem:
Quote:
Thank you for contacting TomTom Customer Support.

In response to your query, the map corrections. updates using map share on the new Go720 and 520 models is temporarily unavailable.
Our IT department and 2nd Level Technical team are fully aware of the situation and are already working to have the matter resolved shortly.

In the mean time, we suggest not trying to update the maps via map share as this feature is temporarily unavailable.

With Best Regards

The TomTom Customer Support Team

However, late last night (Friday 12th) it was working again, and although I had no more Mapshare items to up/download today, the update was still working just now when I tried it as a Quickfix update was downloaded OK.
