Hi folks,

I recently added an Aux port in my Focus so I could play MP3s on my TT. I gave up on the FM transmitter - which was as useful as a chocolate teapot....
I've routed output to the lineout port, but if I have the in-car charger plugged in, I get an really annoying buzz constantly. Is this due to poor shielding in my cables, or poor electronics in the TT. Does anyone else have the same problem?

Cheers, Rob

Couple one of These between the Aux input socket of the car and the TomTom, the Ground loop problem can affect some vehicles and this device overcomes the problem - Mike

Just saw this tonight after spending Saturday trying to sort the same problem out. Can confirm for anybody else that this ground loop isolator worked for me but beware its a bit bigger than you might think and can be a bit of a push to fit-be prepared for loss of knuckle skin behinhd head units.

For the two posters PLEASE could you confirm - when the 720 is playing music thro line out to car stereo and i disconnect the 3.5mm jack plug the music is transfered to the internal speaker is this a fault/bug/normal as i would have thought it should be silent with line out selected?

If anyone could test this for me I would be very grateful but make sure the volume is down on your car head unit as it cracles abit when you remove the jack plug!
Thanks

The behaviour you have experienced is normal, when Line Out socket is selected the device will only use the socket when a plug is inserted, no plug = audio via the built in speaker - Mike
