City names not UK!

Just found something really odd: gone to navigate to city centre on my TomTom One and all the city names are foreign (such as la Abadia!). App 6.560 Map: UK + IE 675.1409. Any ideas?!

I presume that it's a Plus map which has the major roads of Europe included. So it will include the names of European cities (with little street level detail).

So even if it is a UK map, it allows you to navigate to the centre of Paris (or Berlin etc.).

As far as I know its only UK + IE. UK names such as Manchester don't show up at all.

Language selection? - if you go to change preferences can you select UK or is the menu text in a different language as well?- Mike

If you stand in the garden, can you get TomTom, to get a fix?
Have you got an SD card, does it say UK on it?
If you connect it to a PC, what is the map folder called?
If everything is right, could TomTom have put the wrong data on your TomTom/SD Card?
Have you got more than one map, go to the options and change maps?
Does the map show your road,town,city, if it does, is it just the names that are wrong, or your location, surley, if you get a fix, it has to show you where you are?
