Hi everyone,
Simple query really...how often are maps updated?
I've been poking around on the internet and it seems maps aren't updated very often at all? Looking on the Garmin web site I see it's supposed to be by DVD roughly every 6 months?
As I'm new to this game can someone give me a bit of a reality check and tell me exactly how this "really" works please?
Cheers...Alkemist |

Would think it is more like yearly.
I have owned my 660 for 9 months now - no update since then - but the word on the net is that one is imminent _________________ Phil |

Garmin release new maps every year or so. The last maps (V9) were released at the end of 2006. The 2007 (V10) maps will be released "end of 2007, beginning of 2008" |

|
|
Hello everyone...
I've just checked on the Garmin web site and they say there is a new map available for my Garmin Nuvi 610t:
Map Update 2008 City Navigator® Europe NT
Part Number: 010-11045-50
Suggested Retail Price: £ 59.99 excl. VAT
I'm only after a map for the UK rather than the whole of Europe, but, that aside, where is the best place to buy these maps from? I assume they come on DVD and then have to be installed?
£60 seems quite a bit to me, but, I can't say I'm the knowledgeable on these matters so any advice would be much appreciated.
Cheers....Alkemist |
