Tom Tom switching itself off after adding POIs

Hi,

I have added a few custom POIs from this site and now when my Tom Tom ONE boots up it loads the card ('drumming sound' then a progress line along the bottom), displays the splash screen for a few seconds and then switches itself off (or might have locked-up with a blank screen... hard to tell!). This has only happened since I added the custom POIs.

I formatted the card and went back to my back-up I took before updating it but it still does the same! I have tried a 'hard reset' by inserting a paperclip for 5 or so seconds to no avail. It's plugged into a mains-charger so its not a flat battery problem. The only other thing I have on my card apart from the standard stuff is the PGPSW camera database which I have had for over a year. Until now, the Tom Tom has performed with no problems since I bought it about 18months ago. Could it just be coincidence that a hardware failure has occurred just as I added the POIs? Any ideas?

Sorted!

I found my original TT card after much searching and that worked in the TT. So, I re-formatted my 2nd card again and copied the original TT card's contents to it. And it worked! It's not obvious what the prob. was, even now, looking at the contents of the TT card compared to my card contents that didn't work they look the same. It must have been a hidden file or something.

The uploaded POIs work fine too... just have to add the latest PGPSW camera files and re-load the voices for the camera warnings now.
