Hi,
I have an xl one europe. The maps are all on the internal 1gb internal hard drive. I only have about 2.5kb of memory left on it (its full). It did not come with a memory card but there is a slot.
I have recently upgraged my pc to the Home 2 program. When trying to update it automaticaly installs the quickfix gps file with out problems. It also trys to download a new application. It down loads but will not install as i do not have enough space on my tom tom. Are you supposed to delete the old application from the tom tom fisrt to give you space?? It really doesnt make sence that you can not update things without having to delete some stuff.

You could delete all those foreign voices, if they are installed. HOME2 will tell you whether or not they are. _________________ Tim |

The usual update process installs the newer version of the application prior to removing the old one and making the necessary changes to make the upgrade 'permanent'. If it deleted the old app first - then had a problem installing the upgrade - you would have a problem.
Sounds like you need to reduce the amount of installed things on the system. Also look into getting a memory card and see what can be loaded onto it (POIs etc) _________________ Phil |

Hmmm, it does seem silly that there isn't enough room. I guess the new one has to be installed before the old one can be removed. How about copying your \zip directory to your PC and then deleting it from the XL. Install the new app. via HOME and then copy the \zip directory over again.
Long-winded, I know, but a possible workaround. _________________ Tim |

@ phil thanks man....I thought as much.
@ tim again thanks......I think for what it costs I will get my self a 2gb card and copy everything over to it and then update the thing.
