I need to upgrade my SD card, so I can add more POIs, there isn't enough room on my original card. Can you help me on how I transfer the data from my old card to my new one.

Are you sure? They don't take up much room.
Short answer - copy card to PC, copy from PC to new card.
Long answer if the above means little or nothing.
You have either a card reader (best) and insert the card into the reader or you connect the 510 to the PC. Note, TT Home will probably start when you do connect. Let it do so, but (leaving Home running) start Windows explorer.
Using Windows Explorer, set to show all files and extensions, first create a new directory (e.g. GO510-2007-08-14) on the PC, then go to the 510 (Card or device) - showing as a new drive in Win Explorer, - mine says "Tom Tom (F". Click one of the files or folders, then click Edit ... Select All, then click Edit ... Copy.
Then click on your new directory on the PC (GO510-2007-08-14), then click Edit ... Paste.
You have now created a copy of the card on your PC. Go back to the [mine is Tom Tom (F] drive, right click it and select Eject. If you're connected via the 510 dock, the 510 will probably boot up. When it finishes, switch it off, take out the SD card and insert the new larger card.
Connect it again (or stick the new card in the reader)
Now you go back in the opposite direction.
Click the new directory (GO510-2007-08-14), click on one file or folder, then click Edit ... Select All, then click Edit ... Copy.
Then click on the [mine is Tom Tom (F], then click Edit ... Paste.
When it's finished, still on the Tom Tom (F, right click .. select Eject.
Disconnect (510 or card) and plug card into device. Switch on 510 (it may take a longer press of the power switch to do this) and it will boot up, showing the hands and tom tom drums, then will go as usual.
Edit Remember the limit is 100 custom POIs - if you install more than that, all this effort will have been in vain, because some of them (randomly) will not work. _________________ Dennis

I read somewhere on this site that an SD card needed to have a certain minimum "speed" to work in a Tom Tom.
I have a TT GO 710 with a 1 GB card which I wish to upgrade to a 2 GB card so I can fit the most recent Europe map on it since, even after I've deleted everything else, is till havn't got enough space for the map!!
I don't want to fork out on a card only to find the system won't recognise it because it isn't fast enough.
Can anyone tell me the minimum spec I need to look for, Please?

There are several opinions on what speed. Personally, I have no idea!!!
BUT, I use a Transcend 2GB 150x speed SD card and it works real fine with Western & Central Europe Map, 1.7GB. I got it from somewhere like Amazon for peanuts at the time (about £14 including outrageous P&P). Actually, I've got three of them and they're all OK. _________________ Dennis
