Can I Tweak the route preferencies, Any Ideas???

I have a tomtom one v2 UK edition is there any way I can tweak the one profiles i.e fastest route, limited speed etc. so to change the preferencies of the roads it will select take the best route I would prefer so stickign to motorways, dual carriageways and A-roads and b-roads so I cac take the shortest stretch of single lane roads possible etc. as i use my tomtom unit a lot in a 7.5 ton lorry or when towing the caravan at the weekends.

Just trying to find a more permanent solution to stop tomtom wanting to send me down narrow single track roads to suit my needs better, rather than relying on my current knowledge planning an Itinery and using several waypoints to achieve the task. I figure there must be a way alter the route preferencies on one of these profiles to make my life easier.

Any ideas???

Not possible at all, I'm afraid.
Early versions of the Navigator software did have something along these lines, but it was taken out a long time ago (before Navigator 5 I believe).

Shame, we'd all like it...

maybe we could petition them into releasing some kind of lorry can option on the tomtom one

So you think it will fall on deaf ears or might they listen if enough members sign it?

i think you will have to wait for the map data to be released before any lorry option will be aadded. thats if it is somthing that btomtom want to do.
any manufacturer will make devices applications for the largest market which for car. also this map data will cost more so i wouldnt expect map prices to to be as cheep as for the current maps.
for some strange reason current manfactuers seams to have this beeif that companies susupply there drivers with satnav in 99 percent of cases this isnt true and is somthing that the men in mareting need to wake upto.
alot of current talk is B2B

as can be seen from mike alders tmotom V3 reveiw different map versions will give you differnt routes
