|
|
Hi,
Bought a 720 yesterday and have been playing with mapshare. Did a correction to see what happened and then corrected the correction. Will this cancel each other out?
I made the mistake of confirming it and I think next time I connect to Home they will be sent to Tomtom. Is there any other way of removing corrections before being sent to TT Home? |

All submissions go through a verification process. If a submission is wrong, it'll be rejected if it goes to TT. |

When you set up your Mapshare preferences you have the following options for which corrections you use:
Corrections I made myself:
Corrections verified by TomTom:
Corrections to POI I subscribed to:
Corrections from trusted sources:
Corrections reported by many:
Corrections reported by some:
So corrections do NOT necessarily get verified by TomTom before they are sent out. |

True but would you use any that weren't?
Even those that are "Corrections reported by many" or "Corrections reported by some" are sort of verified. Unless loads of people all submitted the same mistake.
What i meant was a 1 off error is unlikely to have any effect. Honest... |

Do they verify them using the same process to "verify" their hardware & software? |
