cheers | Yes it should. I'd advise you (after first doing complete backup of 520 using Windows Explorer) to create something (a dud favourite) in the new map in order to get a poor .cfg file (the device doesn't have one out of the box) for which you can check the correct filename - TT have been changing them recently, so you may need to rename the one you want to copy across.
My 720 one is called MapSettings.cfg, just like the one on your TT One V2, so with luck it won't need renaming. _________________ Dennis

If its the same as a TT720 then yes it should,
However with my preset POI warning sounds i had to reselect them all. All the disatances and favs were the same though but it was a pain redoing 104 poi again!

104?? Isn't the limit 100?? (although I haven't heard in relation to Navcore 7, it was 100 with v6.) _________________ Dennis

I have read the limit is 100 but not tried that test yet on my device, that said it is possible to configure more than 100 custom POI, BUT the device will only use 100 of them that it chooses.
If I were you I would do a very thorough check as to which POI files are enabled for warning on the device - make sure all your Specs Cameras are present and correct as for some reason the devices seem to drop these POI first when you exceed 100. - Mike |

Hi all
YES i do mean 104, made up of 100 my own POI and 4 Tomtom preinstalled ones. You can have as many POI showing as you like, as long as you only have upto 100 of your own ones installed.
If you copy across your current mapsetting file, and then goto warn POI, then it will pick up you have a warning setting but it will default it to a next opportunity setting. i dont know why it wont give you the sound setting, very annoying!
Anyways, i have now managed to `break` my tomtom 720 version 3!
Going back to currys again later!
I have also filmed photographic evience of this bug so will get it on youtubes or something later.
Cheers

I DID have problems after I copied my MapSettings.cfg from a Go x00 series to my new 720.
The installed TTS voice disappeared, as did all speech recognition.
Fairly sure that was the cause, and I had to do a restore to my "day one" back-up to get them back. |
