Is there a way to have a category called CARS on the tomtom 910 listing the following dealerships under brand names:
Alfa
Audi
BMW

etc
Also how many categories can i create with the 910?
Thanks

Certainly you can have a Category called Cars.
If you go to the POIs Page and download the Car_Dealerships POI, you can rename the OV2 and the BMP Files to anything you like. ;)
This will list all the 'makes' of cars within the one POI, but the displayed text will note which dealership it is.
One word of warning though. Because of a problem in the generation of the POI you can only download 20 subcategories at one time. If you need more, then split it into 2 downloads and merge the 2 OV2 Files into a single one.
You can have 100 custom POI Categories on the 910. The Cars one, as described above, counts as one.
If you want to have the Dealerships in seperate POIs then each Dealership counts as 1 towards the 100 limit. _________________ Richard

2 Questions for Oldboy:
1 - How do you merge the two .ov2 files after downloading?
2 - Do you know the POI limit for a go700?
Hope this is read at some point, I've been searching for 2 hours trying to find an answer for this one [bet you it's in an obvious place that I haven't noticed yet!! ;-)]
Cheers,
Bird_FAT
{EDIT}
Found the answer to question 1 in the POI forum here: http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=59128&highlight=poiedit
Here's a link for the software mentioned:
http://www.poiedit.com/
(Hope I'm not breaking any rules by linking to freeware!?!)
