well well well, finally a GPS i liked after trying garmin and tomtom for 500 USD price.
Things that are good.
1. big 5" screen which is great for day or night use, color scheme is great and shows icons for millions of POI's and important buildings.
2. text to speech is great with lane assistance.
3. voice command feature works flawlessly.
4. nice maps layout with fast route and rerouting.
5. Bluetooth- works like a breeze with my iphone. downloads contacts and has great speaker.
6. awesome statelite reception works even frm inside my work place and home where i can plan my route beforehand.
7. easy GUI and menu options and is not confusing.
8. pic viewer is great and i have used it few times on a trip to wasaga .
9. it looks great.
10. beats out garmin nuvi 250w and tomtom xl-s for features and usage.
there are few things I will say that needed to be corrected for US market like
1. car charger socket is left on the unit - it should be on the right.
2. it shpuld have some kind of internal memory like other devices to store maps and data.
3. there is no website for updating it or uploading maps or software other than included CD software.
4. battery runs out fast if you are using pic viewer faster than anything.
other than this its a great system and im keeping it.
its all in one great device and my GF is all with envy. |
