|
|
hi,
i have been searching this forum and have decided that the htc 3300 is the one for me,
however, is there any other options i should consider?
i basically want a usable sat nav and phone in one, internal gps and tomtom maps, ideally europe and uk but uk would do
is this the right choice?
thanks for any help ![Smile](modules/Forums/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

It's an excellent PDA, has a thumb trackball which works really well, has a good GPS and works quite well as a phone. Nuff said
It's a popular choice and a few of the team have it and love it. _________________ Darren Griffin |

I will second that - a great choice for an all in one device, I have the HTC P3300 and the T-Mobile version which doesn't come with WiFi, no great loss though with the Web-n-Walk package for Internet access via GRPS.
You will find some comments and a few accessories listed/ pictured in This thread which details my thoughts on the Artemis, I didn't realise that I had been using the Artemis for ten months though! - Mike |

Mike, is WiFi on the T-Mobile device not present or just disabled in some way? _________________ Darren Griffin |

The T-Mobile MDA Compact - III has no WiFi hardware fitted at all so it is not a case of re-enabling it as the chipset is missing - I guess that’s T-Mobiles way of enticing users to use the Web-n-Walk package.
The True HTC P3300 Artemis does have WiFi as does the other re-badged variant from O2 the XDA - Orbit, if your mobile phone contract is about to expire then take a look at any of these products as on contract you can get a great device for no outlay depending upon tariff - Mike |

tomtom menu is better but copilot has some better features including the ability to set road speeds and multipule waypoints as well as better desktop software _________________ currently using aponia truck navigation on windows phone. Good bye IOS don't let the door hit you on the way out .
