Having done the same to mine (Medion PNA210T),as you know, would it help hime to do the following.
Use the CDs to create an INSTALL folder on his PC, ActiveSync it to his FD then Hard Reset.

Hi you guys,
as you are referring to the pna205 can you tel me if you have installed the POI warner de for cameras?
I have tried quite a few times but the device keeps getting an error after I have input 2 or 3 zip codes.
I have installed it on my memory card as I had memory low errors but I still get memory low or illegal function
any advice? |

Hi,
Install it on the FD & put your maps on the SD, this should help with the low memory issues.
Cheers

thanks for the quick reply.
I have tried various combinations using the sd card but same results.
I am trying your suggestion but is the original poi warner directory and files supposed to be removed?

Medion Gopal PNA 210 - Can anyone that still has this model advise if they have come across this problem and suggest possible solutions. When I start the machine it goes to a Go Pal screen with a spanner and compass icon. When I click on the latter nothing happens. When I click on the spanner it comes up with the message "Please insert the memory card" but when I insert the replacement card on to which I have copied the MapRegions folder (same as the FD) the machine just restarts and I get the same log-on screen. Can anyone advise what may be wrong or what eactly should be on the SD card as this is a replacement card. Thanks. |

Quite often data stored on the memory card is locked to the specific card supplied with the device, as such it can be copied to another card but when encripted and locked to the card ID it simply won't work in the device - Do you still have the original card that was supplied with the device - Mike |

Hi. Thanks for your reply. Looks like we may be xxxxxx. My brother bough this recently off some auction somewhere - thought he had a bargain but I would have been suspicious that it came with no card (thought that was optional though for this model). Took me ages to figure out that the map was on the device in the "My Flash Disk" but still no luck in getting this to work. |

Hi,
Here's the Gen with regards the Medion 210T.
It was designed as a budget SatNav and as such is a cracking piece of kit. I've had mine for nearly two years now and it has paid for itself numerous times.
The Nav Software sits in the "MyFlashDisk" and I keep my maps on the SD Card. NOte:It ODES NOT come with an SD Card, you have to but your own.
If you are seeing the two grey buttoins on Power up then the "MyFlashDisk" has been formatted and you will need to re-install the software.
I am currently working on a guide for another user on what to put where from what CD. When I have it finished I will post it for all to see.
Have Faith and lots of patience
Kind Regards

Hi "PsychoJock"
Many thanks for your reply. After I posted here on Sunday, I kept on trying to figure out what the issue was. I could see that the maps were on the FD, so knew I wasn't missing anything (other than maps being from 2005/6 I think - anyone know if Medion or Navteq issued map revisions for this device?) other than the maps on a CD (for some reason we had two of the same cd of Medion navigator v1 in the pack). Having tried various things I decided to clear the contents of the FD (other than the Map Regions folder) and copied the install files from the CD for GB to the sd card. Once I restarted the machine the application installed again. Therefore, it appears, in my case anyway, that if there are files in the FD then re-install does not always happen until it is cleared. I hope this helps others and thanks to all for responding to my query!! |
