|

Hi,
I have a TomTom One. I live in the UK and want to travel to eastern Europe soon by car. I bought a 2GB SD card for my maps. My problem is I cannot use two or more maps at the same time in order to get my route planned. Is it possible to use multiple maps at the same time or is there any bundled map that covers all Europe countries?
Thanks,
Adam |

Welcome to the forum, the Western and Central Europe map will get you a fair distance to the old eastern block countries, after that you will need to switch maps to another country or the Central and Eastern Europe map (I think that is what it is called)
What maps are you currently using on the device? - Mike |

Thanks for your quick reply.
I currently am using the following maps: Central and East Europe, Western Europe and UK / IRL of course. Here is how I've planned it: Get off the ferry in France and just put in the postcode of my destination address (it's in Hungary btw) Can I manage it with my TomTom One? |

The Western and Central Europe Map covers Hungary. This would Navigate you all the way from the UK to your destination. _________________ Richard

But you were talking about two seperate maps... If I loaded the Western Europe map in France it wouldn't cover Eastern Europe, so Hungary either. And these maps don't contain UK so I don't think I could use them from here. Am I right? |

No, Western and Central Europe is one Map V675 (1.67gb big) and includes UK, it will give you a seamless route from uk to Hungary etc, I have just checked route from Leicestershire to Budapest and it took justover a minute on my mio168 to calculate including asking me whether i wanted to avoid toll roads and gave me the fastest route of 1185 miles and a travel time of 17.30 hrs, and seems to give a good show of roads including my all local roads in my home area in the UK, another alternative map i have seen is PL_CZ_HU_SK_Plus major roads of Europe V675, But at only 195mb I woould imagine that it would not give as much detail as the WE and CE Map. but with TomTom who Knows? |

The problem is, Western and Central Europe are two different maps for me.
Can you merge maps? |

You only need Western and Central Europe Map to get you from the UK to your destination, this is a single map, I mentioned the other map as I didn't know where your destination was from the first post and it might have been further east.
If you have the Western And Central Europe map it will fit on a 2GB card and run quite happily on your hardware - Mike |
