i3 Upload POI and now it won't come on

I need some help - I think I've scuppered my i3.

I downloaded new software (UK voice) and thought while I had the unit inside I would update the Camera Database and POI's.

I noticed POI's here on Pocket GPSWORLD.COM which is not where I got them before - I ticked less than 85 Categories as warned and tried to upload - got the message that the upload was successful, but the unit just stops with the Rec Routable Hwy Basemap, ATI v2 (c) AND DATA IRELAND, LTD, 2003 screen.

Any ideas how I can get it working again?

OK, I got his going - but it is quite a tortuous fix and requires you to have both a PC that can read the TransFlash card and an adaptor to make it fit.

I had to buy a new card form Maplins to get hold of the adaptor and then delete the POI file from the card. All is well now, but I unnecessarily reset the system prior to this and lost all my favourite addresses along the way.

I think that the message on the site should be much clearer about how much you can load onto the i3 - it says 85 Categories, but there are only 36 listed so I thought I was fine selecting as many of those as I wanted. I am guessing that the 85 figure means sub-categories - this is not clear and bound to lead to confusion, frustration, and expense for a lot of i3 owners!!!!!!!
