renaming TomTom ONE NE voices

Hi Guys
I've downloaded a few novelty voices to go with the default ones. When choosing a voice, the standard ones have proper names (eg Jane), whilst the novelty ones are called "Special 19" or whatever. Is there anyway of replacing that name with another?

You don't actually rename the file. I think you have to edit the VIF File in Notepad.

Just make sure you have a Backup in case it all goes wrong.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Figured it was something to do with either the vif or chk files, but the latter was gibberish.

Seems that if you add another line to the end of the vif file, whatever is on that line appears underneath the bmp for that voice.

Thought it would be useful for those that use their kids voices, as well as those using novelty ones where the voice may not be obvious from the bmp alone.
