I could have a red face over this one, but am I alone in not knowing that the N range has both a tripmeter for a current route and a Global tripmeter which records cumulative stats?
The stats covered are Distance; Average speed; Max speed; Time taken; and Stationary time.
The stationary time is not a lot of good because if you stop and the unit shuts down to save battery power, it ceases to record stationary time until you restart the unit.

Just in case I am not alone, I have not said how to access this function so if anyone wants to know, then I will know and not feel so alone :-)

Crickey, long time no see!

As the N20 is almost a replica of the ICN7** I've never spotted a trip counter of any kind on mine. You would have thought there would be a reset option with the rest of the reset switches. Although it is possable I have passed it and just palmed it as unessesary, I mean how many times do you really want to know what your average speed was?

If you are too shy to post it, pm me and I check my ICN750 to see if it has got the same.

Not too shy! And, yes, I've been out of the country for three months, mainly in the Balkans where Navman does not yet have a presence - or did not when I went.
Anyway, I don't know if it will work on your ICN7** but try switching on your device and press the display in the top right corner of the screen - the one that shows the time, mph, etc..and hold on for about 3 to 5 seconds. I then get the "Tripmeter - Current Route" screen with arrows to go back/forward. Let me know what happens.

How cool is that, and no I hadn't spotted that one before. Well spotted!
Thumbs Up
I wouldn't mind betting that that works across the range. I also decided to check my manual to see if it is metioned in there and it was there so I suppose it does pay to read the instructions occasionaly.

The sad thing is I doubt I'll really use it, but I think I'll play with it for a few days just to say I have! Very Happy

Well, I had it running on my way from Austria, through Germany and on to Calais. The Global one gave a good indication of the distance etc. but as my N20 kept re-booting (like a hard reset) the route trip meter gave me incorrect data. So I guess, it might be useful for short trips and playtime, but a bit unreliable for serious data capture.
