Hi, I have an Magellan gps 2000 handheld satellite navigator which I won on ebay. I got this for a cheap way to find our way back to train station ect when on holiday.Thinking it would help to get our bearings but playing a round with it I have found that battery are only lasting 1/2 an hour or so with good Alkaline one, where the manual say it should last "upto" 24 hours.

Should I cut my loss's and buying something else or can someone recommend a battery that will last or have I just got a duff unit?.

Thanks
Chris

Chris, have you tried it with a set of four Duracell AA batteries? - I know there are alternate batteries which are often cheaper, but before condeming the device try a good quality set - Mike
