GPS Software for Laptops?

Hi, does anyone know of any good GPS software that works on a laptop/Vista? I am not too bothered what software particularly - as I wouldn't mind trying both car navigation - and just straightforward tracking software (as in software that can track your position on a map, regardless of whether you are in a car or not), which not all car navigation packages can do. (As soon as you move off of a road, they are screwed).

I seem to be having a hard time finding very much GPS software for laptops at all. I have a Holux 32 channel GPS receiver - so really I am just looking to add GPS functionality to my laptop with this, although mostly I use it with my Nokia N95 (since the onboard GPS on this phone sucks so bad).

Have you considered Memory Map or one of the other topographical mapping packages, these will run on a PC and do support GPS, if you are looking at off-road situations these packages are much better - Mike
