Hi,
Im running tomtom 5 navigator on a dell X50 pda (windows mobile 2003) with bluetooth gps reciever and am having problems with the position arrow being about 10 meters behind where i am actually positioned, and also the arrow isnt very smooth when im driving ie. it only seems to update every 2-3 seconds. Ive tried two different gps recievers and have the same problem with both.
My dad has the tomtom1 unit and it updates every second (if not quicker) and is always spot on position wise.
my old gps reciever is a 16 channel one and my new one is the holox bt441 (44 channel) which according to the specs is the latest and quickest thing around.
any ideas or solutions gratefully recieved.

Such sluggishness is often caused by having too many POIs enabled.

ive disabled the poi now and the position arrow is now a lot more smoother,so thats helped. But it is still showing the position as slightly behind where i actually am. If i approach a junction and stop, it shows me in the correct position, but when i move off and speed up the arrow then lags behind, not a great deal but it would be great to get it spot on ?

And the Dell x50 is not one of the fastest devices around.

If you think about it it will always lag behind a little bit because it updates every second but if you are driving at thirty miles an hour how far have you travelled in that second(approx 44 feet) so its showing where you were a second ago
