I use Garmin i3. I always have a problem locking on to satellites in central London & Battersea, Wandsworth Clapham areas. Elsewhere in UK there is no problem. Any suggestions??? I am thinking of changing to Tomtom One. |

The One does have a much better receiver when copmared to an i3, however before you dash off and purchase a new device what car are you using it in? - and do you know if it has an athermic coated windscreen? - Mike |

Thanks for that, I appreciate your help. My car (Citroen Picasso) has got a heat reflective screen, but in areas other than mentioned the reception is excellent and satellite fix time superb. |

If your i3 is working fine other than the locations you have mentioned why not try one of These - the unit plugs in to the i3 and the idea is to route the cable around your windscreen, secure the aerial to the forward face of your rear view mirror - this area of glass is left uncoated and will significantly boost the signal strength received by the i3, one of the other Moderators (PaulB2005) uses this exact same set-up with his i3 - Mike |
