Ok, looking to hardwire my Tomtom One in as im doing a custom GPS for the car - this means i wont have access to the on/off button.
On my dads TT 710 it turns on when in charge ect ect but the TT1 it doesnt matter. What can i do/go around the problem of turning the unit of and on |

And whatever you do DON'T cut off the cigarette charger plug and hard wire it! The ONE requires 5v and the reduction is done in the plug. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Yeah i figured after i saw the fuse. Was just going to safely wrap a wire round the charger and wire than into some sort of 12v power behind the dash.
Ive seen some one do this on the same car as mine. Need to find out from him how he goes about turning it of and on. |

Don't do that, get a cigarette lighter extension lead, wire that into the car's 12v supply (fused) and then plug into that behind the dash. _________________ Darren Griffin |
