Hi all, Have just got a Go 710 and am trying to set up. Have installed home and backed up. Couple of questions:
1. I have the message "You do not have the component required to run this feature. Login." How do I do this? I can see a log in box in the bottom left corner but it is greyed out.
2. I have the product code, when do I use this?

Any other tips anyone has would be gratefully received.

Thanks,
Ady.

If you register and create an account at tomtom.com you will be able to Login using that email address and password.

The component it is trying to download is for the Virtual Device that appears on the PC when you click on My 710.

The Product Code is for any time in the future when you may have to Activate your Map. Don't lose it.

Did you backup with HOME? I would do it with Explorer as a safeguard. Have a read of the procedure HERE.

Remember to always use Safely Remove Hardware when using Explorer, and My Device when you want to disconnect from HOME.

Thanks Richard much appreciated. I turned off my firewall and it worked then. Had to use a paperclip after update but works ok now.
Thanks again,
Ady
