Mid life crisis has means that I've spent little time on the roads for the first time in twenty years.
My daughter is borrowing my nuvi 350 at the weekend for a driving holiday in France so I thought I should update the POI's and pgpsw speedcams this morning.
Having loaded nearly two huindred thousand POI's I then find that I have lost speed cam Icons for the type of camera you are approaching.
The dinky little icons are now just a black dot?
Which categorie should I download to get the Icons back ? Please
+ How comprehansive is the PGPSW speedcam database for France, is it as good as the POI handler database or do I need to download that as well in case she develops a heavy right foot in France.

I think the dot appears if you have too many points of interest categories loaded. Try deleting the points of interest and just loading the camera database files using poi loader. All should be well. If you want the other points of interest just keep the number of categories to a reasonable amount. I think it revolves around 257 categories as the limit, although I'm not entirely sure. _________________ _________________

Also be aware that the speed limits in the Euro database are listed in kmh. If you load these to your Nuvi together with the UK speed camera database at the same time, one of them will give incorrect warnings.
If POILoader is set to load with kmh settings, you will get warnings at lower speeds for UK cameras. If you load both database with mph settings, you may not get any warning for European cameras, unless you are quite some way over the limit - i.e. 130mph on a typical Autostrade!!! |
