C310 map update unlock code wanted please.

I have a Garmin Streetpilot C310 sat nav unit and have the Europe v9 update map cd.

In order to run this I need the Garmin unlock code, which they want to charge me for (and not just a small amount either ).

Now, I probably shouldn't ask and no doubt someone will slap my wrist for doing so, but is there any alternative way of getting an unlock code , preferably free, or at least cheaper.

No chance! The Update disk is of no value, it is the unlock code that is the important part. It must be unlocked on an active internet connection with Garmin.
Don't forget there are two versions NT and non-NT [you must find out which version you need] and you must have CityNavigator or CitySelect already installed.

Ah.. thanks for that Strumble.

I have the correct CD for the C310 that I have and was just somewhat surprised at the $88 charge and wondered if there was some other alternative key route .
