Hi,

1. Yes it has got a built in receiver

2. Yes you can install Tom Tom subject to how many times you have activated it previously. The Orbit can come with CoPilot 6 when obtained through O2, but I still prefer Tom Tom

Good Luck

Mike

bear in mind if you use the gprs traffic etc then o2 charge a fortune for their data...

i was after an o2 xda orbit but am going for the t-mobile mda iii compact(?) (same phone but without wifi) as for £7.50 you get essentially unlimited data each month. ok, they dont have wifi, but with pretty much no dta costs is it that important?

Using TomTom on the device incurs no extra cost unless you use the Plus options such as weather, buddies or traffic. These services require a GPRS connection which you have to pay for by the MB and O2 chsrges are stupidly high compared to other providers - Mike

I have just received my Orbit and have opted for the TomTom6 route. I can confirm that the software works amazingly well and very fast. This phone/PDA is what TomTom was made for.
