2. when i try to connect to my pc via usb cable, the pc makes the usb connection sound then keeps doing it as if i was turning the sat nav on and off and i cannot see the sd card in my computer.

hey. ive also just been given a one of these for free and exactly the same thing is happening. as i plug the usb cable in it accepts it the makes another noise to show it has disconnected it straight away! i was wondering if your hardware has any UK maps installed on int as mine says it cannot find any road near that location when it is in the UK and I cannot upload any maps either!
If i find anything works I will send you a reply.

Im not familiar with these systems but do they work on SD cards? or on Harddrives? if the memory is stored on an SD have you tried taking it out of the unit and using an SD card reader or using the slot on your computer (if you have one).
just an idea |

Are these based on the iGo s/w? looking at the info on the web about them it would seem to be very, very similar.
You could try looking in the iGo forum elswhere on these pages. but...
1 / I think there is a text based way of getting the speed cams onto iGo
2/ No idea - possibly something to do with the o/s on the 3100 ?
3/ I don't think you can. _________________ Phil |

INSTALL ACITVESYNC 4.5 AND IT WILL CONNECT TO YOUR PC OK
HOPE THIS HELPS[/i] |
