As a newbie, please don't jump down my neck but my Garmin Nuvi 660 updates the database twice a week from the Garmin/Cyclops site. Having found this site I was interested because it seems more informed however, when I saw that the latest camera database was 30th May warning bells rang.
The question I ask is why does garmin update twice a week and this site does not? I know it costs more for the garmin updates but I want to be safe rather than sorry and know when I am approaching ALL possible sites even though I watch my speed and do not agree with speeding. Ones concentration can momentarily lapse and miss a site.
Thanks for any advice, sorry if I am going over old ground. |

Last update was 18th June.....
Garmin one may be updated more often but this one is generally considered more accurate and comprehensive.

No database will 100% no matter how often it is updated. Any section of road is a "possible site".
Finally if you are a subscriber to the PGPSW database and you are the first to submit the location of a new FIXED position camera you'll get a free lifetime subscription. |

I have no idea where to look to find this information, I am only a newbie with a satnav just learning what can be done with them. If you know how I can check for your question I will take a look. |

Thanks for the reply, who exactly considers it to be more acurate and where is the evidence?
I understand about submissions but again have no idea how to go about saving any locations I find on the Nuvi and subnmitting them. Perhaps I will learn this as I go along. |

Most of the users here - and there are many thousands of us...
Seriously - it's a very good database put together by a great team and getting information from out in the field by we users.
I have a nuvi 660 - the way I do possible new camera locations is by using the screen capture mode. This sets it up to take a snapshot of the map when you depress the on/off switch on the top. There may be other ways - but this works for me. You can download the image to your PC and use the map facility on the speed camera page here to submit your camera. _________________ Phil |
