c210 european maps

hello there, this is my first post on what seems to be a very informative forum.

my first question is.....

i recently bought a sat nav to fit on my motorbike so i decided on a cheap one just incase i loose it, and so i purchased a mio c210.

the c210 works great and idealy suited for my sportsbike (hides nicely behind the fairing).

but then i arrive at a problem.... i was thinking of going to france later this year so i tried putting the address of the hotel i want to use, and yes you guessed it, the map doesnt know where it is as its only got major routes..

so... after a long winded explaination i was wondering if there is a place to get these maps without paying the £90 odd that mio want (i only paid £89 for the c210.

has anyone else encountered this problem and how was it resolved.

ill take that as a no then, but ive no doubt that summat will come along in the future.


just a point though the company i bought it through gave the option of which region you were buying it for.... so its actually cheaper to buy another and say you are in france then it will come with the french maps installed???
