Help! I have lost my Phone menu icon and the icon to turn traffic on and off since installing POI capture on my 910.
I would like to remove Capture as I do not like things like this happening but TT home Restore does not actualy restore the full disk from my Backup I took before installing Capture. Any Help in getting my menus back and or getting the old TomTom.mnu file back please!!

Alan

First thing to try is simply to remove (or rename) tomtom.mnu.
There isn't a default one, the operating system has the "normal" menu structure built-in.

Do you mean, how do you rename the TomTom.mnu file ??

If so.....if you have POI capture installed, and are using a new custom menu, the file TomTom.mnu will be in the SdkRegistry folder. Connect to your PC, and using your file manager, locate the TomTom.mnu file and either delete it or rename it. Alternatively move it from the SdkRegistry folder and place it in your root directory. If you are still using the standard menu with POI capture on page 4, then TomTom.mnu will be in your root directory and there will be no need to delete it, although it serves no purpose as far as I am aware.

You are not being a dummy, we all started somewhere and learned from the more experienced forum members.

Another option is to edit the TomTom.mnu file using notepad or word pad on the PC, this way you can have the best of both worlds, have a read through This Thread, the first menu text I listed in the thread is what I use on my 910, if your device is a different one there are other suggested menu text within the forum, there is a text layout for the 510/ 710 devices further down the same thread - Mike
