I am driving from newport on the isle of wight to derby very soon and when i put the post code into my tt one v2 it gave me options of fastest shortest ect so i opted for fastest and it took me via fishbourne using wightlink ferries but i am going via east cowes to southampton using red funnel ferries (cheaper and better ) ...how do i set up to go this way???

Set a via or use the itinerery feature.

Or don't do anything, simply leave it on whatever it has defined. Stay in the car and have the satnav on whilst crossing and it will notice you're in Southampton and recalculate the route long before you disembark. BUT when you disembark, set a Favourite at that point (GPS position) to use for the target when you go back.
Don't forget that mobile camera at the top of the M271 I told you about
