Hi, each time I install a speed/safety camera pois to the Navman iCN720 I receive an error on every time I start the satnav stating: "Some maps failed to load correctly." And I don't receive any safety camera alerts when on the road.

I have tried several options and remedies.

Anyone know an answer? I have searched high and low and spent hours attempting to resolve it. Having looked through all the recommended Navman install options, none of them work. Do the files have to be in a specific folder? Does anyone have any recent instructions for installing them on an iCN720, please? I'm in dispair!

I finally did it! It appears that for the newer version of the Navman, the POI Edit from SmartST Desktop 2006 stores some of the files in the wrong folder.

In case someone else is having the same problem, what I did is:-

I created a foler called 'MyPOI' in the 'Navman' folder. Looking something like this: \Navman\MyPOI\

I then moved the new *.map *.bm and *.wav files into the newly created MyPOI folder.

This has resolved the problem... and now to test!

Tested... it does work!!!

Oh, and another thing... if anyone is having any difficulty deleting any safety/speed camera pois, simply search through the directories and delete these three files: poilalerts.xml, poialerts_Bak.xml, custompoi.xml. Together with the *.wav, *.bm, and *.map files that you want to delete. IE: If you want to delete a custom POI in your Navman with the name "Gatso", the name of the files you delete would be: Gatso.bm, Gatso.map. Only delete the WAV file if you want to delete the sound effect.
