BR305

I've just changed my car and used this chance to upgrade both my IPAQ (from 3630 to 3850). I have also bought a BR305 with 3850 leads (the old (original TTN) reciever is staying in the old car!) The problem is that the Ipaq isn't seeing the 305. The settings all seem the same as the previous machine i.e. Serial on COM1 and the receiver is flashing - which I think tells me that it's getting a fix. Any ideas guys?
A secondary issue is that the excellent BR305 review says that the car sockets leads provide power to both the receiver and the Ipaq (as it does in the 3630). However, the 3850 does not seem to charge. Do the two things together imply a lead problem? I understand that both the 3850 and the BR305 were previously used without problem using Destinator.

Yes, it sounds like it could be a cable problem. You should get the charging light blink on and off on the 3850 when it's connected to the accessory socket via the BR305 lead. If this isn't charging then it could be that the fuse has blown in the plug, or that there is a break in the cable.
