tomtom & update 3.01

am i correct that tomtom have two updates called 3.01? one for tomtom3 only and the other for tomtom2or3 as in gps update Question

Something like this.

TomTom always had two independent components - Navigator and the GPS applet. Incidentially they now both have reached the version 3.01

And, none of them are updates (no matter what TomTom try to tell you) - they are both full versions that do not need any prerequisites to be installed.

You can easily run Navigator 3.01 with GPS 2.06 . There is no locking between the two components.

the point i am making is, i am seeing lots of moans about "3.01" but of course "3.01" has two versions dependent what you have got or are doing.

I think the “problem 3.01" is TTNav3.01 (the Navigation program and not the GPS Driver) and that’s only with an H2210 iPAQ.

I received my copy of TTN3 at the end of last week. The version number is shown as 3.01.

Do I need to download the 3.01 update from TT, or do I have the latest version already? (Is it possible that TT are already shipping an updated version?)

Are you looking at the version number for the program or for the GPS driver?

If both are 3.01 then you have the latest official version and don't need to download again.

Thanks for that. I have the following installed:

TomTom Navigator 3.01 (409) (from 'About')

GPS V3.00 402/400 (from 'GPS' tab)

You are basically up to date. You could update the GPS driver to 3.01 but to be honest you could also spend your energy elsewhere... No major changes in the GPS drive , all they do is add to the selection of GPS receivers that you can choose from.

Hi all,

Only just bought Tom Tom 3 and now you tell me theres an update out already.

Checking my system it says i've got TTN 3.00 (402).

Do i need an update? Where do i get it? and How do i install it?
