I have a Tomtom One on which I have installed the Speed Camera Database and a number of POI's.
When I try to update these using POIEDIT I get a message which asks if the device is properly connected, and Active Sync compatible.
I understand that Tomtom devices are not Active Sync compatible, if this is correct could someone please tell me 1. Why POIEDIT appears to depend on it's use, and 2. How to proceed? |

Are you using the Speed Camera database from this site? - if so POI Edit will not work at all - Mike |

Thanks, Mike.
Yes, they and the POI's were from this site. I know how to update the cameras, but how do I update the POI's? |

Simply go to This Page make your selection (keep the numbers of POI categories below 20 at a time) and download what you want.
The download is a zip file, unzip it, extract the files and place them in the UK map folder in the same way you would install/ update the Speed Camera files.
One other warning your device can only accept 100 custom POI categories, so don't go mad installing everything - keep it below 100 .ov2 files in total in the map folder - Mike |
