|
|
Hi.
I have a 2005 Subaru Legacy with factory-fitted built-in DVD based Sat Nav. I think this is a Subaru branded Kenwood KNA-G520, but am happy to be convinced otherwise.
As this system is DVD based, is there any way loading my own PIO, like speed camera's etc.?
Many thanks.

Most of these in dash units do not support user supplied POIs, although there are a couple that do, and a couple that enterprising individuals have worked out how to do...
Your first point of call maybe to the online Subaru forums (assuming there are some) where you may get better hints for the exact model of the unit or additional information...
Having said that, if it is the Kenwood GNA-G520 - it's actually made by Garmin, and hence the standard Garmin tools may be able to work with it - although it's best to read the Kenwood website on how to apply updates etc. _________________ Please don't be offended if I do not reply to a PM - please ask questions via the forums. |

When you put in a search for this model it shows a memory card like most sat nav equipment it also has Garmin all over it so if you got a card reader then you should be able to put your own POI'S in as you want them.

IF is is the KNA-G520 then you can use our Garmin downloads and via their POILoader application and a card reader (available from Garmin's website) you can upload the data to the card _________________ Darren Griffin |

Already discussed below by me.
Here
Kenwood DV3200.
No loadable POIs.
Version 4 DVD 2007 just out and still has not got 100% mapping for Ireland.
Looks like the cheapskates bought NavTeq Q4 2005 maps and released them in 2007.
I downloaded the user manuals and service manuals from somewhere. Will try and find them. |
