|
|
Hi
I got my pal to download the speed cameras and a bunch of other POIs which he has loaded onto his 1GB SD card. The problem is that he has a lot of other POIs on the same card. The TT300 doesnt seem to recognise the new cameras or any of the new POIs he has has loaded. On checking the number of POI categories, he seems to have 70. Is this the limit and he needs to remove some? How does the TT choose which ones to display? I currently use TT6 on a Mio 350 and have downloaded the warning voices for the individual camera types. This works great and I was wondering if I can do the same on the TT300?? The software is version 5.2 (didnt get the last few numbers on the version). |

The limit is 39 for version 5
The limit is 100 for version 6
Exceed the above and the device will not behave as expected - Mike |

Mike's figures above are for POI categories that you add yourself.
The built -in ones supplied by TomTom are NOT counted towards this figure.
To get a figure of 70 it sounds like you counted those too.
The best way to count them is to examine the contents of the SD card using Windows Explorer and count the number of files in the map folder that have an .ov2 extension.
There doesn't seem to be any logic as to which ones get ignored when you go over the 39 limit.
Why not get him to update to v6 software (free download) to get the total increased to 100? Backup first just in case he doesn't like the slighly new look and feel of v6. |
