Can anyone assist - after having a load of problems connecting to TomTom traffic (previously worked OK) TomTom home advised a new software update was available to download. I decided to download the update which is when my problems began. The update version is which I didn't think about at the time, was a couple of versions below what I already had previously downloaded 4.520 (what is the latest version for GO300?). After the new version was installed it was like I had a brand new product e.g. tips of the day came up the "Home" icon is greyed out and all my previous destinations have gone, plus speed camera alerts whilst in the file are not active. Not unduly worried as I have plenty of backups I copied and pasted a backup to over write the file. However, although I have copied backup file to over write and I have gone back to previous version 6.520 all my previous data seems to have gone e.g. home, POI's speed alerts, previous destinations. Anyway to get the data back?

These will be in the Map Folder. If you have only changed the Software Version, they should still be there.
In V6 Maps the file is called MapSettings.cfg
If you have deleted this file, then the Device will create a new file, with default values, at the next startup.
Try to find the latest MapSettings.cfg file that you have on the PC, using the modified date attribute. _________________ Richard
