Hello All,
I've created a POI category for my work locations using the address of the sites I travel to. I can't find anyway to display that address once the POI is created. I didn't include the address in the name field when I created them figuring I could use the edit function if I wanted to see the actual address. But the address doesn't show up when you edit. I've found that I have to plan a route then browse the map and tap on the POI or close to it to display the address. I need to give my coworkers these addresses from time to time and find it a nuisance to find the address by browsing a map. Maybe I'm missing something that you all can tell me about.

You could download and install POIEdit and use that to open your creation (the ov2 file) and then edit the name to whatever you need - I hope you still have the list of addresses and Lat/ Longs though otherwise this could take you some time if its a long list - Mike |

Thanks Mike for replying. The thing is I don't want the address in the name of the POI as it would be difficult to chose from the list of POI. And I can change the name of the POI using the edit POI function without using an external program. I'm trying to find away to see the underling address that was used to create the POI in the first place without having to create a route and browsing the map to get it.

It's not a facility that TT6 has. If you need the address in the POI name, (this is searchable if need be, for navigation purposes) you don't need to create a route.
Unfortunately it's a 2 step process.
1. In Browse Map, use Find to locate all the sites, and write down the Current Name and the associated Text.
2. Then Edit the POI category, either using the built in Edit Function or POIEdit, and append the address details. Personally, external editing is much quicker.
Not an ideal solution, but there is little choice. _________________ Richard
