I'm afraid you can't use bluetooth for hands-free on a Go300, its only for traffic updates etc. You need a Go500 or 700 or one of the x10 range for that.
You are seeing the icon because the software is identical across the range. |

TO be honest the handsfree on my 500 ain't wonderful.
I'm now the owner of a Parrot Minikit, for about £50-55 call quality is really good (certainly better than the TT) and the voice dialing is absolutely brilliant. |

You seem to have missed the point. i dont want it as a hands free cos being a Taxi driver passengers would hear all my conversations, I actually only want it to update me using Plus.
Is it a case that it wont be highlighted unless i am subscribed to Tomtom Traffic? |

Tap the signal strength icon on the main screen then tap the version xxxx box.
The next screen will tell you which model you have. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Thanks Darren, bad news for me I am affraid.
It was described as a Tomtom Go 300 on eBay but now its here its a plain old Tomtom Go which is far inferior in the respect that is does not have Bluetooth and I bought it for that reason. I am opening a dispute via eBay.
It says i can connect it to the radio and Car Headlights, does anyone know how???????? |

Sorry to hear that. As the Classic and 300 were visually in-distinguishable it's not an uncommon occurrence either
The link to headlights and radio required a different cradle which was hard wired into the vehicle.
As it was substantially not as described you should be able to get this resolved via eBay/PayPal, good luck. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Just to finish this thread, I opened a dispute via Paypal and had £20 refunded. Poor Guy didnt know the difference between TomTom's. he thought they were all TomTom Go 300's. Happy now its settled. |
