Hi There,
Im having problems with TTN6 on my Ipaq 1950.
I have TTN6 and basically and Western Europe Map v6.6 and when i go to NAVIGATE TO --- ADDRESS ---there is no postcode option there. Only CITY CENTRE/STREET AND HOUSE NUMBER/CROSSING AND INTERSECTION.
I have installed the postcode file to my 1gb card and also to the device to no luck at all. I have tried making the zip file in the map folder and directly on the device as it is suppose to be. Ive also made sure there is a tomtom folder on the storage card etc...following all advice i can find...
but i just don't have a postcode search option at all!!!
Why and can anyone help this infuriating problem!!! I had it with my previous version of Great Britain Plus map with TTN6!
Any help really appreciated guys!

nope not me....
the zip folder is at the root of the storage card...
is it because western europe map cant do postcodes? it has UK on it down to street level though without any problems??? |

I don't understand why the postcode function was not on the card to start with.
Why are you having to install it seperately?
Have you tried soft resetting the device?

tried soft resetting and nothing....
makes no difference its just odd that the option isn't there.....no ive tried reinstalling the postcode function with the exe that u download.....
the zip folder is in the right place its just the option isn't in navigator when you go to NAVIGATE to ---- etc...
annoying! |

When you go to NAVIGATE TO how many pages are there?
It's not an option outside of the ADDRESS menu is it?
In my ZIP folder I have 2 files:
Great_Britain 8.86M and Great_BritainPostal 66B
Does that match?
Are you using TOM TOM HOME for updating?

i don't do updating, i don't use tomtom home....
when i go to NAVIGATE TO i get...the options of :
HOME (greyed out)
Favourite (greyed out)
ADDRESS
RECENT DESITNATION
POINT OF INTEREST
next page...GPS Position (greyed out)
POINT ON MAP
LATITUDE
LONGITUDE
TOMTOM BUDDY (Greyed out)
CONTACT
in ADDRESS
all i have is
CITY CENTRE
STREET AND HOUSE NUMBER
CROSSING OR INTERSECTION
if i go to like CITY ot Street i can type in the first 4 digits of the post code and it will bring up the areas...ie. ST18 give me STAFFORD but iof i type the rest of a postcode....nothing comes up...just gives me STAFFORD ST18.....
In my zip folder i have...
GREAT_BRITAIN and thats it....same as i had before when it worked i think....and i have a blank tomtom folder on the storage card root too....
Any help is really appreciated guys!

Navigate to :
Address :
City Centre / Street and house number / Postcode / Crossing or Intersection
Postcode is there on the sub menu on my installation with the full Western Europe map.
There are only postcodes supplied for GB and the Netherlands, and they’re in a folder “ZIP” (2 fils for GB and 2 for NL) in the root of my SD card with all the other TomTom stuff. |

There is no postcode option in there 
What are the two files you have for GB maybe im missing one...
if so any chance you can send it to me??? |

well got it working....did a reinstall off the tomtom website and used tomtomhome!
great app!
its all working now....
what is the latest verion?
ive got App Version 6.020 (7910) |

Glad to see you got it sussed  Sorry I had to dash after my last post.
I thought it was something to do with the installation, TT HOME is quite easy once it's working properly (I still cannot back up my device with the latest version, although I can explore. I'm not alone apparently)
My version is as below, I'm assuming you have updated with the January update which was for certain devices only:
HTC P3300 / O2 XDA Orbit / T-Mobile MDA Compact III
HTC P3600
HP iPAQ hw65xx / HP iPAQ hw69xx
Palm Treo 700w / Palm Treo 750v
other people have updated to devices not listed and have been working ok I think.

I would recommend you do a backup now it's working - if you have a card reader back the card up that way. Backup the PDA using ActiveSync - it takes ages but better safe than sorry.
There is a 6.03 available on the web-site - it's only for certain devices - but it works on my DELL AXIM X51v - which is not listed. It is NOT SUPPORTED on my device - so I'm on my own if it goes wonky - it hasn't yet. It seems to operate more smoothly than V6.01 - which was the prior version I had. I never found 6.02 on the TT web site.
